Hello everybody,
I have a 2011 M8. The little clutching chart inside of it says that it comes setup for 6,000-9,000 feet. This means it has a drive clutch arm at 68 grams model # 0746-703. The other option it shows on here is for 9,000 feet and higher and it would be a drive clutch arm at 63 grams with model #0746-694.
So here's my deal. I almost never drive below 7,000 feet. I never do any real riding below 7,500 and really never any real riding below 8,000. I probably do the majority of my riding between 8,000 and 9,500 feet, but I go as high as 10,700.
Is there some setup like a 65 or 66 gram weight that might be ideal for the range of about 7,500 to 10,500? Am I even thinking about this correctly to be in the right ballpark?
