So........

I "may" be in the market for a new track and I've been reading and well reading some more! I issue I have is, I went with a 155 Khaos 9 for the new 24 and I haven't been on a 155 length sled since about 2013!! Over the last 10 years its been a new 163 /165 sled every other year and now I'm going to try this 155 as an experiment. The 165's have been great and the only real draw back is, like everyone says you lose some of that "playfulness".

Obviously with the crap year so far and traveling we have done, I haven't even had a chance to have the new iron out yet but a trip is right around the corner. At this point I'm just trying to do some pre-planning, in case I do NOT like the 155 and need to make a quick swap to a 165. From what I have been reading, I'm somewhat leaning towards a 300LX???????? I don't think I want to go 3.25 as I want something that fits the bill for a little wider range of snow conditions.

As far as the type of snow or riding areas, this would consist of Cooke City, West Yellowstone, Island Park, Snowy Range, Encampment and the rare Big Horns trip.

At this point, I'm just looking for any thoughts or advice so I have a finalized plan if this happens to not work out.

Thanks ahead of time guys!!

I can't believe you even need to ask. This is the deadest horse in the corral. Get the 300LX. Best bang for the buck.
Just looking for any new or recent information is all. I'm actually thinking that "if" the 155 stays there still might be a 300LX in the works!

I’ve beat the horse a couple times. I’m still undecided for my replacement decision but leaning toward the composit M700 or 770. It might withstand some abuse better.

This is a fine track as well. I have tried it on Caleb's sled and it feels just like the 300LX. They used to be impossible to get but now Caleb has them to sell.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 300lx, thought about waiting to thrash my 2.75 but I might try and sell it before it looses all of its paddles. I've put about 500 miles on my 24 khoas boost since December with about 90% of the miles in terrain that is asking to have lugs ripped off on top of my A arm saving technique which is trying to keep the skis as far off the ground as possible. Somehow I have every lug still on there but every ride I notice the 2.75 softening up a bit and not hooking up as good as it used too.

Looks like tracks USA has a 15×154 300lx for 1100 bucks or something near that. Hopefully I can get someone to buy the old 2.75 for 500 bucks. Seems like a cheap upgrade at least compared to everything else involved with owning a new sled.

Anyone happen to know the weight difference between the 300LX and the M700? Just for curiosity sake.

From the composit website the 155x15 M700 is 60lbs. Don’t have pic of when I weighed mine. My 300lx 155x15 was 47lbs. Just for comparison, my 3.25 155 was 50lbs.
I’ve had the M700 on my 850 na, light weight 9R and 24’ boost, it’s a really good 2.75 track, way better than the series 8. The 300lx and series 9 are better in deep snow, but if you want a 2.75 track it’s really good.
