So, how accurate do you feel these forecast maps have been this winter? Just curious, not being snarky. I am due into West on Mon 26. Would be nice to see some fresh.

They tend to be HIGHLY altitude Specific.
I have been pleasently SURPRISED on several of my journeys this winter, finding BETTER SNOW then I was expecting.
I still think the Time-Map program is OVERLY OPTOMISTIC, in total snowfall accumulation for the selected time frame, but the snow has always been there when I arried.

I think the numbers really seem to settle down 24-48hrs out.
Much more than that is wishful thinking.

Several times this season we have seem the storm tracks simply MOVE SOUTH stealing ALL of the predicted big snowfalls and seeing them land in Southern Idaho or Northern Utah.

I also watch this EVERY SINGLE DAY

"Pocatello just went above our average snowfall for the season. This is the first time since 1985 & 1986 that we've seen back to back above normal snow years at Pocatello"
Pretty amazing considering the beginning of the season.

Made a 57 mile ride / loop with my son and 2 nephews today. Made our way to Black Canyon and although tracked up, we found a few pockets of fun. They had to break out the shovels in the end.

Yeah, closer to midweek would probably be smarter, but not sure if I can swing it with work. We shall see. The weatherman can't even get tomorrow right half the time, so we'll see how it changes this week and then make a call.
