Grands Forks BC. Any steep and deep?

I am building a cabin by Danville, Wa. and was wondering if there is any good riding areas not to far away from the Grandforks BC area? Any info would be helpfull. Thanks

That picture was taken at the summit of highway 3 between Grand Forks and Castlegar. There are quite a lot of interesting areas 20 to 30 miles north of Grand Forks off the logging roads. The summits of many of the mountains are accessable. The snow seems to fall a lot more just north of Grand Forks, so the snow in the town is no indication as to what is in the hills. I think the Grand Forks Snowmobile club has a meeting at the Station Pub at 7:00 on Tuesday the 8th of January if you are interested.
