When I start the engine and am idling the engine, the headlights don't come on. When I blip the throttle then they light and stay on. This situation only occurs when starting and warming up the engine.

Might I have a potential problem with the lighting coil or is common?

Thanks for any thoughts.

That isn't common, I would check your light coil and go from there.

Most likely a ccu problem. It is common for machine to take a couple seconds before lights turning on- but is still a sign of a ccu problem- which can turn into other running issues not just lights.
