Installed a bdx anti slop steering bushing and seemed like I might have room for a spacer in behind the new bracket. Was room for a 1/2" spacer which moved the bars forward 3/4" at the grips. Not saying this is a mind blowing mod but every little bit helps and costs nothing.

Im working on the same thing but thinking of changing out the bolts in the tank to some longer ones. Anyone done this?
I ordered a chromoly short post from Canada Sled parts and hope to get it 3/4 of an inch forward which at the bars as you point out will increase about an additional 50% forward. I've always used the Rox riser tilted forward about 45* which will help even more.
I know the M is old but if you can keep you body up front the sled works much better climbing and side hill. IMO

I have a Bdx anti-slop, what did u use as a spacer, did u drill 1 out of aluminum block.
